assalamu alaikum,
a couple of days ago i read your story on islamonline, and i was so touched by it. i was so happy to see that although there is so much prejudice on earth, and islam is portrayed so horribly by media, people like you are still open-minded enough to find out for themselves and try to find the truth instead of beleiving lies.
recentley so many horrible things have been happening, especially in iraq with the whole sunni/shi'ite thing. as i originate from iraq my family were deeply hurt and some relatives have even been killed. also the 'alarabiya' news station journalist was killed a few days ago. inna lillah wa inna ilayhi raaji3oon. please, i ask you to pray for all those who have passed away, and for all those who are struggling to live in the harsh conditions at the moment. we ask allah to strengthen us and guide us, and give us sabr (patience) forver.
i think i've read every single entry in your blogger thing, and i'm telling you, you have an amazing gift and talent that allah has given you. use it wisely to please allah (as you are already doing inshallah) because talent like this can't go to waste. i love your style of writing, its so cute and heart-rending. i wish everyone could see just as you saw the truth.
i am so happy for you in everything. may allah bring you happiness forver.
your friend nurah also has some beautiful writings on her blog, but i couldn't comment because i don't have an acount and her blog doesn't accept comments from annonymouses. i think some day you'll both be world famous authors in the name of islam, and i wish you both all the best with your writing.
please keep us in your prayers, and inshallah we will too. i pray that the ummah will rise again, in the name of peace, harmony and co-existence of all different cultures and backgrounds. i hope that the future will bring happiness for everyone. amin.
keep up the good work, you're a role model for muslims everywhere.
your sister in islam.

Brother/Sister. The media is looking for small mistake from Muslim community and they will make it big. The media has given us a opportunity to do Dawah, i tell you a short story:- where this non Muslim lady she said to me, i have feeling something is good in this faith, when i asked what do you mean? she said the more the media trying to give Islam bad name, i have feeling this religion has got something special in it that the media is making big fuss about it also she said to me i have a feeling this religion of yours will bring peace to the world and finally she said to me i wish that every single Muslims do share with us(Non-Muslims) this religion and take us out from the mess that we non-Muslims are in, our family structure is finished so on.

So brothers and sisters this short story telling us that it is our duty to take this deen to our neighbours, job workers, friends so on. they are looking for alternative and alternative to solving family and spiritually problems is Islam.

Best website for non muslims about Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him, http://www.islamonline.net/English/In_Depth/mohamed/1424/manners/index.shtml

Sister Jennifer, amazing story. I'm inspired. You are indeed such a blessed person to have an angel appeared in your dreams. I am from Singapore. In my country, people of many races and religion live in harmony and tolerance. We have grown to understand each other and to live with our differences. There are about a quarter million Muslims here. I watch a lot of CNN and at times, I find it hard to believe that Americans, in the once-great nation of USA, can be ignorant of others. I often get a feeling that many Americans seem to live in their own world and that they behave as though the world revolves around them where things get measured according to their yardstick. Having said that, i must say that my judgement of Americans may too be coloured by what I read and what is presented to me by the media. So, after reading your article, I was struck by the surreality of it. It is well-written and I believe you have a talent which can certainly touch people's hearts. Keep it up! I'm looking forward to reading your articles. Assalammualaikum.

>> Those cartoons of the Prophet are so offensive not to Muslims but also insulting to Islam.

>> we have to take affirmative action and enlighten this problem with solutions of new laws being passed that protect the respect of all religions in the world.

Simple question for you from a Hindu. Would one of your proposed new laws also prohibit Muslims from constantly insulting polytheism and idol-reverence?

Insult and dignity swing both ways. Please publish an article that makes it clear you tolerate and respect one of the world's largest faiths which has, among other principles, the above 2 concepts at its core; and I'll respect you and your faith.

The problem with (much of) Islam and (many) Muslims is that you demand too much respect and are prepared to give none. Agree?
